: WORLD MINISTERIAL SUMMIT TO REDUCE DEMAND
FOR DRUGS AND TO COMBAT THE COCAINE THREAT
1. TUR gives details of the proposed conference to be held in
London from 9 - 11 April.
2. We wish to see the participation of our dependent territories
in the Conference. DT Participants will form part of the UK
delegation. Similar to the arrangements made for the London AIDS Conference. For reasons of space each dependent territory will be limited to one representative only. You will need to consult your local governments as to who would be the most appropriate representative but given the importance we attach to this high level conference, hopefully it will be a local Minister with specific responsibility for drugs.
3. In principle we are prepared if necessary to help fund your government's attendance. However funds are limited and we would be grateful if you could let us know whether assistance with funding will be required in order to ensure your government's
