INSPECTION OF PRISONS IN THE CARIBBEAN DEPENDENT
TERRITORIES
Thank you for your letter of 2 June accepting the
proposal that HM Inspector of Prisons should become the
inspecting authority for prisons in the Caribbean
Dependent Territories.
The exclusion of Gibraltar and Hong Kong at this stage
causes us no difficulties, and I hope we shall be able to
look to ODA to fund the inspection programmes.
I am copying this letter to Chris Patten in the ODA.
