BBC WORLD SERVICE : ELT FOR CHINA
A 1. Mr Tusa wrote to the Secretary of State on 18 January about
the BBC's co-production of "Follow Me to Science" with China
Central Television, which is scheduled for transmission in China
from 28 February.

In view of Mr Eggar's responsibility for the BBC World
Service and interest in ELT, I recommend it would be appropriate
for him to reply (silent copies to Peking and Hong Kong).

Information Department will pursue separately with the BBC
use of the series elsewhere in the Far East.
