Commercial Radio is confident that with its recent
managerial restructuring, programming and technical
planning it can face the competition of Cable, Direct Broadcast by Satellite and the rapid growth in ownership of video-cassette recorders successfully and thus maintain its position as a leading media, broadcasting in the public interest.
Although in preparing this plan some assumptions have, of necessity, had to be made based on the present status quo our submission is in no way conditional
upon these factors and no conditions are attached to
our application for a new licence.
We face the future eagerly and with enthusiasm and
are prepared to face up boldly to any new factors which may arise and may influence the radio world in
Hong Kong.
