The decision to renew CRHK's licence and to invite applications
for the grant of another commercial radio broadcasting licence will be generally welcomed. Although CRHK may be disappointed with the reduction in the number of frequencies offered to it, the public can be expected to favour both the continuation of CRHK's services and the introduction of a third radio station as offering a wider choice of programmes and fostering more competition. Companies interested in running a commercial radio station will applaud the move.
