1. I asked your department to vet the Dependencies section of the 'Overseas Relations' Chapter of Britain Handbook before the events of June in China.

2.

The COI author has suggested that a reference should be make to the killings and HMG's subsequent pronouncements on Hong Kong. I enclose the draft with their additional text plus one other minor amendment. Please could I have your department's comments by 23 August.
