Commonwealth war graves and memorials in Hong Kong
You will remember that when you visited us here on 11 July we mentioned our puzzlement at being unable to have sight of the proposals concerning our war graves and memorials in Hong Kong that were the subject of correspondence between the Hong Kong Government and the Hong Kong Department.
2. We have now heard from the Urban Services Department in Hong Kong who act as our agents there and their letter mentions these
enclosed proposals again. I am enclosing a copy of this letter together with
our reply and, as I know you appreciate that we are most concerned to be kept fully in the picture as things progress on this topic, I should welcome from the Hong Kong Department a note on how they stand at the moment.
