PUBLIC BUS SERVICES (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 1988

This Ordinance amends the Public Bus Services Ordinance to enable the making of by-laws (as well as regulations) that contain adequate provision for their enforcement by drivers, conductors and authorized persons, and requiring passengers to comply with safety directions given by drivers, conductors or authorized persons (section 5).

The definition of "operating receipts" is amended in order to bring interest or dividends accruing on a deposit made by the grantee of a public bus service franchise under the Motor Vehicles Insurance (Third Party Risks) Ordinance, within the profit control scheme applied by the principal Ordinance.
3.
Before the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
