I am writing to you to express my concern about the dwindling number of African elephants. I understand their killing is for ivory, something I feel canla be done without. I would therefore ask you to support a total ban on the ivory trade without exemptions (I refer to the possibility of Hong Kong being one such exemption)

I would also ask you to send this letter to Chris Patten, the Environment

Secretary so that he may know mine and my husband's views. Yans sincerely
