Import of Killer Whale from Japan

Further to my fax of 17 January, Ocean Park has formally appealled to the Governor. The terms of their appeal are largely those contained in their letter of 22 November (copy attached).

We would, therefore, appreciate MAFF's views on the merits of Ocean Park's case as soon as possible - particularly as regards 'A' and 'B' of their letter and also as to whether the UK would import a killer whale even though it was already in captivity.
