Further to my earlier fax today (No. 232), you may wish to know that the Governor has instructed that we should establish from MAPP :-

(a)

(b)

whether the UK or other EC countries would not import a killer whale even though it was already in captivity; and

whether they would comment in particular on the point that the capture of the 4 whales was "undertaken with the full knowledge and approval from the IWC after careful census study" - this is 'B' in my fax No. 222 of 31 January.
