(d) the functions of the chief executive officer (whether
called that or not) of the Exchange Company or clearing
house.
(2)
For so long as a suspension order is in force the following
provisions shall apply
—
(a) none of the functions to which the order relates shall be
performed by the Exchange Company, clearing house, board,
governing body, committee or officer concerned;
(b)
any function to which paragraph (a) applies may be
performed by such person as shall be specified in the order
in relation to that function;
(c)
no person referred to in paragraph (a) shall influence the
manner in which functions therein referred to are
performed.
(3)
Subject to subsection (5), a suspension order shall
continue in force for such period, being a period not exceeding 6
months, as shall be specified in the order.
(4) A suspension order shall, unless it otherwise provides,
come into operation immediately on the making of the order.
(5) The Commission may, after consultation with the Financial
Secretary, extend for a period or successive periods of not more than
