The Royal Navy are considering a circumnavigation of the world in 1992. This follows a successful exercise in 1987.

As a precursor to planning we have been asked to identify possible events that could usefully be used in planning a route. We are looking for anniversaries, large scale QBPS, exercises etc.

I should be grateful if you could, if known, provide me with a list of events for 1992 in your parish. The MOD have stressed that this is purely tentative thinking and prefer this information to have come from the FCO only and no enquiries made to posts.

4. We have to attend a meeting on the possibility of this circumnavigation on 21 September. Your inputs would be appreciated by noon on 20 September.
