a lower percentage than the current 70% share of free world expenditure that NATO represents today.

UK PERFORMANCE

7. The UK is expected to maintain its position as one of the top three main suppliers to the world market, allowing for an increase in the share of the market obtained by other suppliers such as Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, India, Brazil, Republic of South Africa, Israel and Argentina.

8. The UK is expected to achieve between 12% (1988

performance) and 20% (1986 and early 1990s expected performance) share of the market. This performance will be achieved through a strategy which will increasingly

concentrate on industry to industry collaboration, as well as the direct export of components/systems for incorporation in indigenous platforms (air, sea and land systems).
