REINFORCEMENT OF RAF AKROTIRI

A number of SAE plans depend on the use of RAF Akrotiri as a staging or reception airfield for the RAF ATF, but as the airfield is not established to sustain prolonged operations, selective reinforcement will be necessary according to the increased task.

2. The table at paragraph 6 shows the agreed criteria for determining the level of reinforcement required when Akrotiri is used as a staging or reception airfield.

Details of the RAF "Packages" to provide staging and reception facilities are at Enclosures 1 to 3.

Ground airmen reinforcements are provided by the RAF Personnel Management Centre (PMC) from ERS Drafts 7030 A-F (except where otherwise shown in column (f) of Enclosures 1-3).

5. CBF Cyprus is to inform MOD, at the time an operation is mounted, of the requirement for individual reinforcements by reference to the appropriate Packages and Serial numbers.
