b. ASMA 1601. The NATO system, ASMA 1601, will be used in lieu of BIS/24/14 if the plan is carried out in conjunction with forces from NATO nations.

BIS/24/13. Teleprinter conference and special handling circuits.
d. Unit Authentication. Local tactical nets.
Local tactical nets. In accordance with Signal Communications in the Army, Volume IV, Pamphlet No 2, Chapter 5, Section 8. The FSO will prepare and issue authentication tables as required.
58. Coordination. Custodian Officers, HQ UKLF and HQ STC are responsible for coordinating the issue of cryptographic material to Army and RAF units respectively.
59. Teleprinter Conference and Special Handling Traffic. Arrangements for teleprinter conference and special handling traffic will be in accordance with the procedures given in DCNP No 11.
60. Callsigns/Address Groups.
a. Fixed Callsigns. Fixed callsigns are included in the Schedule of Circuits at Appendix 2.
b. Joint Tactical Callsigns.
C.
(1) Joint tactical callsigns derived from BIS/25/1 and BIS/25/3 are to be used on joint tactical circuits in accordance with JSP 2, Chapter 8, Section 7.
(2) When a SAE operation is implemented, the FSO is to ensure that all participating formations and units are aware of their line number allocations from BIS/25/1 and issue the necessary instructions to implement the daily changing callsign system. Line number allocations are authorised by UKCICC(O). For formations and units not holding BIS/25/1 and BIS/25/3 the FSO may issue daily changing callsign extracts. Callsigns and address groups will change daily at 2359Z.
(3) Single-Service callsigns may be used on single-Service circuits in accordance with normal practice.
Address Groups.
(1) Joint Tactical callsigns derived from BIS/25/1 and BIS/25/3 will be used as address groups in accordance with JSP2, Chapter 8, Section 7.
(2) Where applicable, address groups from the appropriate ACP 100 series will be used in addition to, or in lieu of, address groups from the BIS/25 series on circuits terminating in the operational area in accordance with JSP2, Chapter 8, Section 7, paragraphs 85-87.
