1. The MOD sought our first thoughts on a possible itinerary for this circumnavigation late last year. Since then, the MOD have also received the views of Defence Attachés/Advisers, which have now been incorporated into a revised programme.

2. In the light of recent events in China the MOD would be grateful for any immediate advice on the visits to Shanghai and Dalian. If we wish, CINCFLEET will be asked to propose an alternative schedule for that part of the deployment until the picture becomes clearer.

3. So that MOD can write to posts informing them of the new programme and request diplomatic clearance (China excluded) I should be grateful for any comments on the attached by COP 27 June.
