A study, to be led by HQBFHK and completed by the end of 1989, to review helicopter crew and aircraft establishments, to confirm the Scout minimum contingency force, and to assess whether additional Wessex and Scout crews should be included in JTP 30, the Hong Kong reinforcement plan.

C. Underwater Roles and Support Capabilities Study. A study, to be undertaken during 1989 by HQBFHK, in conjunction with the HKG, to resolve how and when underwater roles and support capabilities the responsibility of the RN may be transferred to HKG agencies.

63. The COS are invited to endorse the recommendation that the term "Sovereign Force Hong Kong" should be discarded and that the garrison should retain the title "Hong Kong Garrison" until the final handover on 30 June 1997.
