Excellency,
I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of the instrument by which the Government of Hong Kong ratified the Agreement on the Network of Aquaculture Centres in Asia and the Pacific (NACA) adopted at the Conference of Plenipotentiaries held in Bangkok from 5 to 8 January 1988.
In accordance with paragraph 4 of Article 16, the Agreement will enter into force, with respect to all Governments which have ratified it or acceded thereto, on the date when instruments of ratification or accession have been deposited by at least five Governments listed in its Annex.
At present five Governments, including that of Hong Kong, have signed the Agreement. The Government of Hong Kong is the first Government that has ratified it.
