PLAN FOR DEVELOPING ANTI-DRUG TRAFFICKING INTERNATIONAL MUTUAL LEGAL ASSISTANCE ARRANGEMENTS 1988-1991

The sixth quarterly review meeting was held on 11 January. A record of the meeting is attached, with a progress report on the implementation of the Plan. There have been a number of developments since the last meeting: notably progress in Europe, and SE Asia and developing arrangements in the Caribbean. We shall be sending copies of the progress report to all posts in parts 1-4. Actions for the next quarter are detailed in the "next step" column of the report.

Comments on the record of the meeting and progress report are welcome, especially additional information about relevant forthcoming Ministerial visits to priority countries. Views to Gordon Brown please (270 2683).
3. Copies of these papers also go to those attending the meeting (who should please note the changed date proposed for the next meeting), and others in Whitehall with an interest
