(g) Whitsun Recess 1990:

Algeria and Morocco.

Tunisia might be considered if a meeting with Arafat was required.

(g) Summer Recess 1990: Australia and possibly New Zealand (depending on their elections). A stop-over in Qatar on the way out or back might be added.

(h) A visit to Poland and Hungary might well be useful later in 1990.

(i)

Latin America: If the Prime Minister does not accept the recommendation to visit Latin America, the Secretary of State might wish to go in the Christmas Recess 1990/91.

7. The Secretary of State might also consider one day visits to one or more of the following countries in the course of 1990:

Sweden) if not covered by the Finland) Prime Minister,

Norway

Yugoslavia.

There are arguments for visiting all of these but no requirement to set priorities or to try to plan dates at this stage.

8. It would be helpful to have the Secretary of State's preliminary reaction to these proposals.
