5. The Governor has confirmed (Hong Kong telno 3935) that Dr
Sohmen's idea fits in very well with his own thoughts. After
consultation with Mr Heap, he suggests that a lunch co hosted by the
Hong Kong and British Chambers of Commerce would be appropriate. agree: the British Chamber of Commerce, which was established only a
few years ago, is an important reflection of the British commercial
commitment to Hong Kong and it would be helpful if the British
Chamber could be given some recognition for the useful work it is
doing.
6. The title of the speech can be left open for the time being. The Governor advises that it would be helpful if an early decision could be taken on timing, as venues get booked quickly at that time
of the year.
