Dear Dr. Sohmen,

Thank you for your letter of 1 November inviting

me to address a luncheon organised by the Hong Kong

Chamber of Commerce during my forthcoming visit to

Hong Kong. I should be glad to do so.

I wonder if I might suggest that the luncheon might

be jointly hosted by your Chamber and the British

Chamber of Commerce. I will reflect further on the theme

of my speech. Your suggestion is a good one, but I

would like to take a final decision a little nearer the

time.

and other details as soon as dates for the visit have

firmed up.
