Those

(a) Mrs Mansfield will be appointed Special Courier for the round trip. All boxes and briefcases containing classified material must be entered on the Courier's waybill. concerned should contact Communications Operations Department (Mr J Murray 270-2781).

(b) Those members of the party travelling separately who need to carry classified documents up to and including Secret are asked to apply for a letter of authority from their Head of Department or Departmental Security Officer (see Home Circular 'B' 3285 of 26 April 1985). If documents with a higher classification are carried, the official will have to be documented as a Special Courier (please contact COD Tel No 270-2792).

(c) A safehand service will operate between the Communications Centre and the Private Office. Official papers should be locked away at night.

(a) London Office security passes should not be taken

abroad.

(e) The appropriate Security Department instructions should be followed in connection with typewriters and typewriter

ribbons.

11.

TRANSPORT

(a) Transport in Hong Kong will be provided by Government House and the British Trade Commission.

(b) Details of transport arrangements in the UK for those travelling commercially with the main party are issued separately with the Departure Arrangements. Those travelling separately will arrange their own UK transport.

12. NEWSPAPERS AND COI BULLETIN

(a) Arrangements are being made for three sets of daily UK newspapers to be sent to Hong Kong.

(b) The COI Press summary will be transmitted each day to Hong Kong.
