SECRETARY OF STATE'S VISIT TO HONG KONG : H M AMBASSADOR, PEKING
1. Having first consulted the Governor, I have spoken to Sir A Donald in Peking to ask whether he would be able to arrange to be in Hong Kong for the first day of the Secretary of State's visit (ie, Sunday, 2 July). He would be happy to do so and will make arrangements accordingly. He will aim to travel to Hong Kong on Saturday, 1 July, and return to Peking on Monday, 3 July, and will telegraph details once flight bookings have been made.
