Please refer to my minute of 23 August. I have now confirmed with Mr Yaxley, the Hong Kong Commissioner here that the BOTB will be offering lunch on 12 September. He commented that one of the main things they would wish to discuss with us would be Right of Abode for Hong Kong citizens. That is scarcely a surprise but it does mean that we will need careful briefing from HKD in the FCO. I would be grateful if Mr Paul could let us have something by 6 September.
