Yesterday saw a heartwarming postscript to an awful period with the marriage of a delightful Chinese girl to her British fiance in record time, despite bureaucratic difficulties which would have been difficult enough in easier times. I enclose Tim Harwood's own brief account. The month ended with champagne.
