China remained Hong Kong's largest trading

partner in the first three quarters of 1988 visible trade between Hong Kong and China, at HK$200.8

billion, increased by 38% in value terms over the same

period in 1987 and was nearly equal to the annual total of HK$205 billion recorded in 1987.
