14. Opinion On Construction of Airport to Achieve more Economic Autonomy

The people in Macau, especially the Chinese (80%), agree that in order to achieve economic autonomy from Hong Kong and the PRC, Macau should have its own airport.

The majority of the Portuguese (69%) and the Macanese (59%) are also supportive of the airport construction although there are more of them (20 - 22%) who disagree that the airport construction can achieve more economic autonomy for Macau.
