1.

The Governor's Chief of Cabinet is Dr Maria do Carmo Romao Sacadura dos Santos. She took over from her husband who now runs the Macau Foundation, supervising East Asia University. Her office is through the doors on the left of the first floor and fax (563377) is probably the best way to contact her. Secretary is Laura Santos (tel 561777).

2. There is no diplomatic adviser at the moment although Dr Romao expects one in the new year. Meanwhile she fulfils this role.

3. I attach an updated Protocol List which shows your accreditation is recognised and gives the names of anyone who is anyone in government and administration. Miss Lai has a copy on file now.
