Comment: Wah Kwong and Stanley Ho, unsurprisingly, have taken over. They are confident the port will go ahead. The similarity of Macauport's set up with the Airport and its quasi government organisation is not coincidence. They have neighbouring offices, similar shareholders and, to some extent, are interdependant. However the airport, and whatever airline emerges, and Macau's handling of the Air Service Agreements, will have far more impact on Hong Kong than the development of this port. will assist Macau without, I think, greatly impinging on Hong Kong.
