Portuguese told us about the proposed formation of an

Inter-Ministerial Committee concerning a statute for the residents of Macao. They have confirmed (Lisbon telno 28 of 27 January) that an Inter- Ministerial Task Group is examining all aspects of the Macao question, but there seems to be no question of changing the eligibility of Macao residents for Portuguese nationality.
