LU PING VISITS MACAU
The Deputy Director of the Office of Hong Kong and Macau Affairs attached to the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Lu Ping, is to visit the Territory in early September where he will meet local representatives of the Drafting Committee of the Basic Law. The responsible Chinese official will be accompanied by three members of the Chinese team of that committee.
Ji Pengfei, Director of the Hong Kong and Macau Office was to have come to this Territory at the end of May in order to attend the first meeting of members of the Consultative Council but his visit ended by being postponed on account of political crisis in Beijing.
