We understand that Sir James Spicer MP, for example, will be visiting Taiwan on 24-30 September, following the IDU Conference in Tokyo. Sir James Spicer has already been to see Mr Maude about his visit. But it would be useful if the Political Secretary at No 10 could have a word with Sir James Spicer in the margins of the IDU Conference to reinforce the need for caution.
