The Law

Drafting in

the

Division of the Attorney General's Chambers is

the process of producing authentic Chinese texts for all existing legislation. After an Ordinance has been translated into Chinese, Chinese text will be submitted to the Governor in Council who may, by virtue of the provisions in section 4B of the Official Languages Ordinance (Cap 5), declare it to be an authentic text. Once declared, the Chinese text will have
