10. In addition to immigrants falling within the preference or non-preference categories, there are three other categories of immigrants:

The basic qualification for citizenship of the United States is five years as a permanent resident. After lawful admission he/she must reside in the United States continuously for at least 5 years and during that time he/she must be physically present for an aggregate period of 30 months. In order to qualify for citizenship of the United States applicants must also be over 18 years of age, meet requirements relating to good character and commitment to the United States and pass a test on the history and Government of the United States.

12. At the present time, investment and residence in the United States gives a businessman no avenue to citizenship however long his residence.
