MR TEMPLE-MORRIS:

Would you also accept that that category of Crown

Servants is very important for the future of Hong Kong and

indeed is also a category to which we have considerable

obligations in respect of the past? Would you accept

those general points?

MR RENTON:

Yes I think I can accept both those general points

Mr Temple-Morris,

KR TEMPLE-MORRIS:

Following that generous acceptance, do you feel

NR RENTON:

You are leading me down a very difficult avenue, I

have no doubt.

MR TEMPLE-MORRIS:

Well it is going to be a general one for the moment.

Do you accept in view of your generous response to my

earlier question, that we should do as much as we can for

Crown Servants and I ask this in general terus and you

answer it as you will, do you consider that we are doing

enough?
