concerned many people in Hong Kong, that the 1981 Act
devised specifically to prevent Hong Kong people coming
here. I do not know whether you wish to give any other
comments on that fact.

What interested me, howewever, in looking at this in
more detail, was that the residency requirements demand
that the applicant be free of immigration restrictions.
It does seem as if you cannot get them on the one, you can
get them on the other.
Could you clarify that for us and what percentage of
applications for immigration controls to be lifted by Bong
Kong BDTCs have been accepted in recent years?
