But if I remember rightly, the Foreign Secretary

eventually somewhat later in that same set of exchanges,

did use the term or accept the fact that this was a rather unique situation compared to any other historical process,

where in fact we have either maintained a dependent

territory, the Falklands, or we have actually granted

independence and therefore they have created new

nationalities of their own.

This is, would you accept at least, that it is in

fact a rather unique situation?
