Citizenship

4. A person can apply for Canadian citizenship if, within the four years prior to the date of the application, he/she has been resident

more than 183 days are allowed. After an application is received an

applicant must prove at a citizenship hearing that he/she has an

adequate knowledge of Canada and of the two official languages. Citizenship would then be confirmed at a citizenship ceremony.
