This involves extending the Island Eastern Corridor at Causeway Bay along the
the northern and western coast of Hong Kong Island via Telegraph Bay to Aberdeen. This route will pass through the proposed Central/Wanchai and Green Island reclamation and will provide a trunk route on Hong Kong Island to meet the increasing east-west and north-south traffic movements on the Island. It would also
provide a link in the main access route to a replacement airport in the Western Harbour.
Main Elements of Recommended Strategies

From the study process outlined in Annex A, a Recommended Strategy has been produced for each airport scenario. The physical shape of each strategy is shown by the three plans at Annexes B, C and D. The principal elements for each Recommended Strategy over and above existing facilities are summarised in the following table -
