The immediate case in hand is the small quantity of British diplomatic reports to be found among HKG records. These comprise monthly appreciations and political reports, dating from 1946, prepared by HMG's representatives in various countries in Asia and copied to HKG for information. We have recently sighted reports from the Philippines, Pakistan and the Dutch East Indies.

The reports will be examined for China sensitive material under the sensitivity review criteria but it would be inappropriate if records withheld from public access in the UK were released in Hong Kong. Would you let me know what UK's decision was on these under the 30 year rule.

Yours auge виде

Den.
