CRIMINAL JUSTICE BILL EXTRADITION

Thank you for your letter of 16 May.

16 May 1988

I note that you are happy about application to

repatriation and torture. I have gladly made the alterations

that you suggest in relation to special extradition arrangements

and the colonies and the Civil Aviation Act 1982. Thank you for

pointing out the errors in the previous version.

about application to the colonies,

You will see that the layout of the amendment for page 15, line

21 has been altered, with a slight adjustment of the wording.

This is not of course a point of substance. But it will bring

this portion of the text of clause 18 into line with the lists of

provisions of the Bill in the amendments of the various Acts

giving effect to international Conventions.

The only difference,

naturally, will be a reference to clause 17 at the end, instead

of clause 18.
