"Hong Kong Future" (20%) remains at the top of the list, but it was mentioned by fewer people than in June 1987 (28%). A small percentage of people (6%) continue to show concern about "the political system in Hong Kong" (cf. 3% in December 1986).

(ii) Specific aspects of perceived problems

When people are asked to mention specific aspects of their perceived problems, a wide range of AnswerS have been given. It can be seen from the tables in Annex II that the

previous surveys. The significant findings are as follows (the percentages are based on

the number of respondents who have elaborated on the perceived problems) :

(a) The percentage of people mentioning "traffic congestion" has increased to a high level (72% in December 1987 ef. 65% in June 1987, 53% in December 1986 and 42% in June 1986) and this includes 7% who have specifically mentioned traffic congestion at the Lion Rock Tunnel;
