An Ordinance to amend the Television Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Television (Amendment) Short title Ordinance 1988.
(2) This Ordinance shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette and different days may be ap- pointed for different provisions and for different purposes.
2. Section 2 of the Television Ordinance is amended--
(a) by adding before the definition of "material"—

"licensee's register" means the register which a licensee is required to keep by virtue of section 95 of the Companies Ordinance, and in case the licensee did not hold the licence on 24 November 1987, the reference in section 17G(1)(b) to the licensee's register shall, in relation to him, be construed as including a reference to the register which he was so required to keep on that date or on any earlier date;";
(b) in the definition of "ordinarily resident in Hong Kong" by
repealing paragraph (b)(ii) and substituting—
"(ii) of which the directors participating actively in the direction of the company-
(A) in case there are 2 such directors, each shall be; or
