TELEVISION (AMENDMENT) BILL 1988

A BILL

To

Amend the Television Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Television (Amendment) Short title Ordinance 1988.

2. Section 2 of the Television Ordinance is amended

(a) by adding before the definition of “material”-

"licensee's register" means the register which a licensee is required to keep by virtue of section 95 of the Companies Ordinance;";

(b) in the definition of "ordinarily resident in Hong Kong" by

repealing paragraph (b)(ii) and substituting-

"(ii) of which the directors participating actively in the direction of the company----

(A) in case there are 2 such directors, each shall be; or (B) in case there are more than 2 such directors, the

majority thereof shall each be,

for the time being ordinarily resident in Hong Kong and also have been so resident for at least one continuous period of

not less than 7 years; and";

(c) by adding before the definition of "Telecommunications

Authority"-
