PRELIMINARY

1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Noise Control Ordinance Short title and 1988.

(2) This Ordinance shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette and notices under this section may appoint different dates for the coming into operation of different provisions of this Ordinance.

2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires- "annoyance" means annoyance that would not be tolerated by a reasonable

person;

"Appeal Board" means the Appeal Board constituted under section 21;

"Authority" means the Noise Control Authority appointed under sec-

tion 3(1);
