The Insurance and Property Divisions of Panin Holdings should hold their own in 1988 and improve on their 1987 results if the progress of other companies operating in the same sectors is anything by which to judge.
The operating conditions for these 2 divisions, especially property, was highly favourable in the first half of 1988 and the
outlook remains positive for the rest of the Year.
Though the Group is attempting to return to profitability and may possibly return a modest profit from the 1988 Finan- cial Year, it is not what is described as a 'solid company' and has a long way to go before it can re-establish a stable earnings record.
