An Ordinance to amend the Societies Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Societies (Amendment) Short title. Ordinance 1988.

Section 9(2) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "on Amendment of payment to the general revenue of the Colony of such fees" and substituting section 9. the following

(Cap. 151.)

"in such manner, and on payment of such fees,”.

Section 41(1) of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting Amendment of after paragraph (c) the following--

"(ca) inspection of the registers of registered societies and exempted

societies kept by the Registrar;".

4. The principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "the Colony" wherever it occurs in sections 2, 3, 4, 6, 10, 15, 16, 20, 30 and 32 and substituting the following--

section 41.

Substitution of "Hong Kong"

for "the Colony".
