PRELIMINARY

commencement

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Commissioner for Administra- Short title and tive Complaints Ordinance 1988, and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

2. (1) In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires-

"action" includes omission, recommendation or decision;

Interpretation

"Commissioner" means the Commissioner for Administrative Complaints

appointed under section 3;

"department" means any department of the Government, or other

organization, specified in Schedule 1;

"head of department" means the head, director or equivalent officer of any

department;
